A useful fit for

Assessing an older Sidewinder offer with documentation

The compromise to weigh

AGM identifies this as discontinued, and its current support page leaves key comparison fields blank. Exact-model condition, warranty eligibility and missing optical specifications need checking before a remaining offer can be judged confidently.

This is an older model or a discontinued line. An Amazon listing can remain available after a manufacturer moves on. Check warranty eligibility, condition and the exact supplied configuration before purchase.

The buying decision

The first fact about this Sidewinder is its status: AGM states that TM25-384 is discontinued and retains the page for support. An Amazon catalog entry does not erase that distinction. Treat any remaining offer as an individual purchase with its own condition, seller and support questions, rather than assuming it represents a current-production alternative with identical terms.

The surviving manufacturer description verifies the 384 × 288 native detector, 25mm lens and replaceable 18650 arrangement. It also identifies recording storage and external USB-C power support. However, the detailed table currently leaves field of view and weight blank. We have not imported numbers from another Sidewinder variant to make the chart appear complete.

Those omissions limit the recommendation. The same nominal lens size can behave differently with different sensors and optical designs, so a 25mm label does not settle scanning width. If the exact framing is important to your property, request the correct manual or specification sheet before ordering. Our numerical scene-width comparison excludes this model until that field is reliably established.

Compare a potential Sidewinder offer with Taipan V2 15-384 for broad scanning and ReachIR 25-384 if laser distance measurement is relevant. These comparisons define alternative buying routes without claiming we have tested one against the other. If the older offer still appeals, verify the supplied battery, included accessories and support eligibility with the seller before deciding whether its terms justify choosing it.
