Pulsar labels this model discontinued, and its 10.7° horizontal field is relatively focused. Remaining inventory is a seller-specific purchase decision; manufacturer documentation does not establish the condition or support eligibility of an individual offer.
The buying decision
Pulsar’s manual now places Axion 2 LRF XQ35 Pro among discontinued products. That does not tell us the condition of an Amazon offer, but it changes the buying question. Evaluate the specific unit, seller and support terms before treating it as equivalent to a newly introduced model. The catalog title mentions a laser rangefinder; confirm that the selected variation is the LRF version.
The documented optical arrangement is a 384 × 288 detector with a 35mm lens and 10.7° horizontal view. That is a more focused scene than several scanning-oriented alternatives. Consider whether you normally search a broad area or revisit a narrow lane. A laser measurement is useful information, but it does not compensate for framing that makes the primary observation task awkward.
One reason an older offer may still deserve consideration is the published eleven-hour runtime at 22°C. Compare that with the weight of 470g including battery and the actual length of your outings. We have not verified real endurance, and rangefinder, Wi-Fi and recording use influence battery life. A favorable number should start a power-planning conversation rather than end it.
For alternatives, look at the current Oryx LRF XG35 and DNT H315R. They make different choices about sensor count, scene width and power. If the Axion 2 offer remains attractive, request clear confirmation of model code, included battery, condition and warranty eligibility. An older model can only be evaluated fairly when the exact deal is visible.
